I am attempting to write a dystopian novel that has a film noir twist to it. The characters and overall plot have already found a home in my twisted mind, but now comes the issue of conceptualizing said individuals so I can desribe them as one would see them. Pictured here is a basic paramilitary unit complete with exoskeletal frame. They are the first inevitable step towards the cybernetic age, an age my protagonist is struggling to comes to terms with.

Film Noir is a good place to start. I like the dialogue in "Brick". Have you seen it?
