John Dean on Authoritarianism



A classic talking point the right wing brings up is there are fanatics on both of aisle. Duh! But while this is true, there is significantly greater number of fanatics on the right and that is what they don't want you to know. A great majority of the modern conservative movement are that of the authoritarian bent, and they are more likely to unquestioningly follow nutballs like Hitler or Mussolini. John Dean points to data that has been collected from the past fifty years to describe what the modern Republican movement really is: proto-fascism.
